The Strategic Account Executive, Folding Carton is responsible for supporting and optimizing key customer accounts within the Folding Carton business by driving margin discipline, supporting data-driven decision-making, and ensuring structured account management across operations.

The Strategic Account Executive represents the Company in a professional manner and acts in the long-term best interests of the Company at all times. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and growing an existing client base while supporting the development of new business opportunities across the SupremeX product portfolio.

This role requires a strong analytical and operational mindset combined with commercial acumen to manage customer relationships, support pricing strategies, coordinate RFQs and estimating activities, and ensure alignment between Sales, Planning, Estimating, and Operations.

The role plays a critical part in ensuring opportunities are evaluated, priced, and executed in a profitable and operationally efficient manner while contributing to long-term customer growth and operational excellence across the SupremeX network.

Key Responsibilities

Account Management & Commercial Execution
  • Manage and develop key Folding Carton accounts with a focus on profitability, sustainability, and long-term customer relationships
  • Grow share of wallet within existing customer accounts through strategic account development and cross-selling opportunities
  • Develop new business opportunities leveraging SupremeX’s diverse product portfolio, including Folding Cartons, Envelopes, Labels, and e-Commerce Packaging
  • Act as the primary liaison between customer requirements and internal operational execution
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customer stakeholders while building an understanding of customer needs, priorities, buying processes, and competitive environments
  • Proactively assess customer needs and coordinate internal resources to ensure requirements are fulfilled effectively
  • Prepare and present proposals, pricing recommendations, and commercial solutions
  • Support SupremeX strategies, tactics, and processes while demonstrating the Company’s core values of Communication, Teamwork, Respect, Excellence, and Integrity.
RFQs, Estimating & Pricing Support
  • Lead and coordinate RFQ processes, ensuring alignment between customer requirements, estimating, and manufacturing capabilities
  • Support estimation activities and ensure consistency and accuracy in quoting practices
  • Review and challenge costing assumptions, including BOMs, board selection, make-ready assumptions, and run speeds
  • Support pricing decisions through fact-based analysis and margin discipline
  • Collaborate closely with Estimating, Planning, Purchasing, and Operations teams to support profitable execution
Financial & Operational Analysis
  • Perform job-level analysis comparing estimated versus actual performance and support corrective action initiatives
  • Monitor and improve contribution margins, pricing discipline, and quoting accuracy
  • Utilize production efficiency and job costing data to support commercial decision-making
  • Analyze customer mix, profitability, complexity, and volume trends to identify strategic opportunities
  • Assess market conditions and gather competitive intelligence related to capabilities, pricing practices, strengths, weaknesses, and market positioning
Forecasting & Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Support forecasting activities in collaboration with Sales, Planning, and Operations teams
  • Contribute to S&OP visibility through structured reporting and performance analysis
  • Identify trends and risks impacting customer performance, operational capacity, or profitability
  • Ensure strong collaboration with internal manufacturing and support teams throughout order fulfillment and issue resolution processes, including quality, inventory, and credit matters
  • Support Intercompany (Interco) opportunities across facilities to optimize capacity utilization and margins
  • Identify opportunities for production sequencing, operational efficiencies, and continuous improvement
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of dashboards, KPIs, and reporting tools

Qualifications and Experience

  • College Diploma or University Degree preferred, ideally in Business, Graphic Communications, Engineering, Sales, or a related field
  • MBA or strong analytical/business background considered an asset
  • 5–8 years of experience in sales, account management, commercial analysis, operations, estimating, or related manufacturing environments
  • Experience within folding carton, packaging, print, envelope, or related industries is considered a strong asset
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing cost structures, margins, pricing, and operational drivers
  • Experience with RFQs, estimating, pricing, or quoting processes is considered an asset
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to analyze data, challenge assumptions, and support fact-based decision-making
  • Effective communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship management skills
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
  • Bilingualism is considered an asset and may be required for communication across divisions
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as required
