Our Production Teams are key assets to our success.

The Production Supervisor will be responsible for directing and coordinating the operations of our folding carton printing company, overseeing approximately 30 employees across the press, cutting, shelling, folder-gluer and shipping departments. This role is key to increasing operational efficiency, ensuring product quality, coaching and developing employees, and ensuring compliance with safety standards and internal procedures.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the day-to-day activities of production teams.
  • Optimize operational efficiency by scheduling work and improving production processes.
  • Ensure the quality of finished products and implement corrective measures if necessary.
  • Supervise and support employee development, including performance evaluation, vacation and absence management, and the application of disciplinary measures as required.
  • Manage punches and administrative documentation related to employees.
  • Maintain a safe work environment, ensuring compliance with OHS standards and the application of health and safety measures.
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of processes and propose operational solutions.
  • Communicate effectively with management and other departments to ensure a smooth production flow.
  • Maintain a positive and motivating work climate by promoting team collaboration and engagement.
  • Any other related tasks.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in the printing industry.
  • Specific experience in folding carton production is a strong asset.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to supervise approximately 30 employees.
  • Experience in operations management, including planning, process optimization and performance monitoring.
  • Ability to apply disciplinary measures and manage employee punches, vacations and absences .
  • Excellent knowledge of occupational health and safety
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Bilingual (French and English) to communicate with divisions outside Quebec.
  • Good communication, inter-departmental collaboration and problem-solving skills.
