Working under the supervision of the Production Planning Supervisor, use the schedule effectively to optimize production and meet sales and customer requirements through planning. Monitor the materials inventory, production progress for delivery on the required date
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze needs and requirements
- Inventory and restock raw materials
- Regularly follow up on orders
- Participation in purchases from suppliers
- Work with Microsoft Dynamics AX
- Establish production requirements as well as the production schedule, considering customer needs, production capacities, delivery times and labor
Qualifications
- Diploma in production / purchasing planning or equivalent ideally
- Experience in production planning in a manufacturing environment, printing, packaging or converting paper
- Must have excellent organizational skills for an environment fast paced and constantly changing
- Excellent interpersonal skills to develop relationships work with internal staff
- Intermediate computer skills required in MS Office, software syntax or Microsoft Dynamics AX, experience an asset
- Flexible with a high stress threshold to adapt to multiple changes in customer needs
- Attention to detail to ensure the precision of the work
